Each table starts as a rigid core, is built up by hand in thin layers of concrete, then burnished and sealed. The dimensions below are the pieces as photographed — yours are made to whatever your room asks for.

Signature Piece
The Floating Block
A single deep block of concrete that looks like it was poured where it stands — and then, impossibly, lifted an inch off the floor.
The trick is in what you can't see. The base is set well inside the footprint of the top, so from any seated angle the plinth disappears into its own shadow and the block reads as solid mass hovering over the rug. It's the piece people walk around twice before they say anything.
The surface is where the character lives. Trowelled in thin layers by hand, it dries to a mottled storm-grey — lighter across the top where the light falls, darkening down the sides, with the faint cloud-like variation that only comes from a hand-worked finish. Run your palm across it and it's smooth as riverstone, with just enough tooth to tell you it's real.
It's a big, confident piece and it wants a big room. In the home above it sits against a deep velvet sofa in a high-ceilinged Victorian front room, and it holds its own against the cornicing and the log burner without shouting.

The Low Slab
The Floating Block's quieter sibling — the same hovering silhouette, drawn at half the height.
At 25 cm it sits below the seat line of most sofas, which is what makes it work in rooms that can't take a heavy piece. Your eye passes straight over it to the rug and the fireplace beyond, and the room stays open. It's the table we most often recommend for smaller front rooms, snugs and flats.
This one is finished in our pale grey, and it's the most characterful of our colours — cool putty across the top with soft blue and chalk-white drifting through the sides where the trowel has laid the layers down. Every edge is eased by hand rather than left sharp, so there's nothing to catch a shin or a toddler's forehead.
Low enough for feet, solid enough for a full tray, and it takes styling beautifully: a candle, a stack of books and a bowl is genuinely all it needs.

For Larger Rooms
The Grand Square
Built for the rooms that swallow ordinary furniture whole.
High ceilings, wall panelling and a four-metre sofa will make a normal coffee table look like an afterthought. This one is square, deep and unapologetic — a metre and a bit across, so it reads as architecture rather than furniture, and it finally gives a large seating arrangement something to gather around.
The finish here is our deepest charcoal, and on a piece this size the hand-trowelling really shows: broad, slow tonal shifts across the top like weather moving over the surface, with the corners crisp and the faces flat. It looks especially good against pale panelling and a light rug, where the mass of it becomes the darkest thing in the room.
Square is the format we'd argue for whenever the seating wraps around two or more sides — everyone gets the same reach, and there's no wrong end to sit at.

No Corners, No Legs
The Round Drum
One continuous cylinder — no legs, no frame, no edges. Just a soft grey drum sitting quietly in the middle of the room.
Round is the practical choice more often than people expect. In a bay window, a narrow through-lounge or any room where you're forever squeezing past the corner of something, losing the corners entirely changes how the space feels to walk through. With small children it's the one we recommend without hesitation.
The colour is our softest — a warm grey with a green cast that shifts with the daylight, pale and almost chalky on top where it's been burnished, deepening around the curve of the side. Against a bold rug, as here, it does something a wooden table can't: it stays completely calm while the pattern does the talking.
Wide enough for a proper tray and a stack of books, and low enough to reach from a deep sofa. It also makes an excellent oversized side table in a bedroom.

The Concrete Dining Table
The full-height version of everything above — a concrete top on a slim steel frame, sized to your room and your chairs.
Dining tables are the most personal thing we make, so we build every one from a conversation rather than from a catalogue. How many do you need to seat comfortably on a Tuesday, and how many at Christmas? Is there a radiator or a doorway that sets the maximum length? Bench down one side, or chairs all round?
The top is trowelled in the same way as the coffee tables and sealed harder still, because a dining table takes daily wine, oil and hot plates. Underneath, the black steel frame is kept deliberately spare so the concrete is the only thing you really notice — hairpin, box-section or trestle, whichever suits the room.
The price shown is for a six-seater at the size below. Longer tops, thicker edge profiles and bench seating are costed individually — tell us the room and we'll come back with a proper figure.

There's no mould and no production line. Here's what actually happens between your measurements and your living room.

Your measurements
We start with the room, not the table. Sofa length, walkways, doorways, the height of your seat cushions — all of it decides the final dimensions. Send photos and we'll tell you honestly if a size will feel wrong.

The core
A rigid, dimensionally stable core is built to those exact measurements. This is what makes a piece this size liftable by two people instead of needing a crane — and it's why the concrete won't crack.

Trowelling
Concrete goes on in thin layers by hand, each one left to cure before the next. The tonal movement across the surface is the record of that process — which is why no two pieces have ever matched.

Burnish & seal
The surface is burnished smooth, then given a penetrating sealer and a matt topcoat. Wine, coffee and a hot mug straight from the kettle are all fine. Then we deliver it and put it where you want it.

Hexagonal Planter
A chunky faceted vessel cast in pale natural concrete, with each angled face catching the light differently as you move past it. The surface is left raw and lightly pitted — the honest texture of the material rather than a polished imitation of it. Sized for a supermarket succulent or a small fern, still in its plastic pot.
Approx. 18 cm across, 13 cm tall. Supplied without a drainage hole so it's safe on furniture — we'll drill one on request. Felt pads fitted to the base.

Display Bowl — Cream
Wide, shallow and deceptively simple. The outside keeps the sandy, slightly open texture of raw cast concrete while the inside is polished smooth to a warm cream, so the two surfaces catch light completely differently across a day. Photographed here on one of our Round Drum tables.

The darker, more angular planter in the range. Where the hexagonal one is pale and soft-edged, this is cut into sharp facets and finished almost black, which makes the green of whatever you put in it look twice as green. Ideal for succulents and cacti.

Roughly half of what leaves the workshop never appears on this page. Concrete doesn't care what shape it sets in, so the only real limits are getting it through your door and two people being able to lift it.

It's real concrete, hand-trowelled in layers over a rigid core rather than poured as one solid lump. That's deliberate: a genuinely solid block this size would be several hundred kilos and would need specialist lifting. Ours are heavy — you'll want a second person — but they can be carried in through a normal front door and moved again later if you rearrange.
Will it stain if someone puts a wine glass down?
No. Every piece gets a penetrating sealer followed by a matt topcoat, which is the same approach used on concrete kitchen worktops. Red wine, coffee, oil and a hot mug straight from the kettle are all fine. Wipe spills up when you notice them rather than leaving them overnight and it'll look the same in ten years.
How do I clean it?
A damp cloth, and washing-up liquid if it needs it. The only things to avoid are bleach, limescale removers and anything abrasive, since those attack the sealer rather than the concrete. Re-sealing is a twenty-minute job every few years and we'll send you the kit and instructions free of charge.
Can I get the exact colour in the photographs?
Very close, but not identical — and that's the nature of a hand-trowelled finish. We match the base colour precisely, but the tonal movement across the surface is created by hand on the day and has never repeated. If you need a specific shade to work with an existing floor or worktop, send a photo or a sample and we'll match to it.
How long will I wait?
Four to six weeks for coffee tables, six to eight for dining tables, counted from the point your dimensions are signed off rather than from your order. Each layer of concrete has to cure before the next goes on, and that part can't be rushed. Homeware ships within 5–7 days.
How does it get to me?
We deliver furniture ourselves across the North East and bring it into the room you want it in — no kerbside drop-offs. Elsewhere in mainland UK we arrange a two-person delivery service; tell us your postcode and we'll confirm the cost before you commit. Homeware goes by tracked courier, free over £40.
What if it doesn't fit?
We'd rather catch that before it's built, so we always ask about doorways, stairs and tight turns for anything over a metre. Made-to-order furniture is exempt from standard distance-selling returns because it can't be resold, which is exactly why we spend time on measurements first. Homeware has a straightforward 30-day return.
